Bush Survival Crash Course

September 22, 2013 | Posted in Bushcraft

Bush SurvivalBenson and I are offering a one-off basic bush survival workshop/walk on Saturday the 28th of September from 9am-12pm, then we can sit down and have some lunch together.
We are meeting at Strickland State Forest …(see link) at the Banksia Picnic area (just stick to the right) and cost is $12 per person. While I would like this to focus on adults, if you can’t ditch the kids, then that’s cool. In saying that, there will be a limit on numbers, so I would prefer to focus on “grown up” info and try to get in quick, as there will be a limit of 20 adults/teenagers.
Please consider bringing a camera/camera phone, notepad, hot/wet weather gear, suitable shoes/boots, picnic lunch, picnic blanket and cold drinks. Also, you might consider joining FB group “Central Coast Bush Tucker.” Please only lock in if you are sure you can make it. We are coming into the best season for wild food! Don’t miss out! Just confirm here (or inbox) and pay on day. Correct change would be helpful.

Meeting with Mayor for Social Justice Programs

September 19, 2013 | Posted in Uncategorized

I just had a really positive meeting with Gosford Mayor, Lawrie Mckinna, re getting some much needed social justice programs up and running for our local youth that need it the most. While it’s just in the feeling out stage at the moment, I feel it’s important to acknowledge that as a candidate in the federal election, Lawrie made a pre election commitment to helping to get something started, and today he started honouring that commitment. I’m feeling very positive about this. I will keep you updated regularly.
